Before using ShortBox, please carefully read and fully understand the complete terms of this Service Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement"). This Agreement is a legal contract between you and the operating entity and affiliated companies of this App (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "our") regarding the use of this App. Additionally, please refer to our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information. By installing, opening, or using this App, you are deemed to have agreed to and accepted all the terms of this Agreement.
We reserve the right to modify any terms of this Agreement at any time based on changes in laws and regulations, business adjustments, technical upgrades, security measures, or other legitimate reasons.
The revised terms will automatically take effect once published. If you continue to use ShortBox after the revision, you are deemed to have agreed to and accepted the revised terms. If you disagree with any modifications, you must immediately stop using the App and uninstall it; we will not be liable for any consequences arising from your continued use.
1.1 Core Service:
ShortBox provides you with high-quality short drama streaming services. You may browse and watch the short drama content offered on the platform within this application.
1.2 Regional/Copyright Restrictions:
Certain short drama content may be unavailable in specific countries/regions due to copyright or regulatory requirements. The application may apply geographical restrictions on content based on licensing and compliance obligations.
1.3 Usage Rules:
You may only use this application and view its content for personal and non-commercial purposes. You must not engage in any of the following activities; otherwise, we reserve the right to immediately terminate the service and pursue legal liability:
* Downloading, recording, or distributing application content without authorization by any means;
* Accessing or interfering with application operations using unofficial tools (such as plugins, crawlers, emulators, etc.);
* Tampering with data, cheating in activities, malicious registration, malicious reporting, or engaging in other fraudulent behavior;
* Blocking, cracking, or interfering with the normal display of third-party advertisements;
* Any behavior that violates applicable laws and regulations or infringes upon our or third parties’ legitimate rights and interests.
2.1 Before using ShortBox, you must confirm that you have reached the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction: typically 13 years old; if you are located in the EU/EEA, the minimum age is 16 years old (or as otherwise required by applicable local law).
2.2 Minors must use the application with the consent, supervision, and guidance of their legal guardian (“Guardian”). The Guardian is responsible for all actions taken by the minor while using the application.
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate access for users who do not meet eligibility requirements, are suspected of fraud, or have provided false information.
3.1 Users may register and log in using Google, Apple, or Facebook accounts.
3.2 You are responsible for the security of your login account and credentials. Any losses caused by account theft or information leakage due to personal reasons shall be borne by you.
3.3 If we detect abnormal login activity, cheating, improper use, or fraudulent behavior, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently block the account.
3.4 You may delete your account at any time through the “Settings” section of ShortBox. After deletion, all account data (including watch history, saved content, account information, task behavior, and numerical records) will be permanently removed and cannot be restored.
4.1 We only provide a platform to display third-party advertisements and do not assume responsibility for the authenticity, legality, or accuracy of the advertising content. Any transactions, disputes, or issues between you and the advertiser shall be resolved solely between the two parties and are unrelated to us.
4.2 As legally required, we inform you of the existence of third-party advertisements and the associated data collection practices. Some advertising service providers may collect information such as your device data and usage behavior to deliver personalized ads. Please refer to the advertiser’s privacy policy for detailed rules.
5.1 All content on ShortBox (including short drama videos, subtitles, images, text, UI, logos, software code, databases, etc.) is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. Unless permitted by law or explicitly authorized by us, no individual or organization may use such content in any form.
5.2 User Restrictions and Prohibited Conduct
You only have a limited right to access and view platform content within the scope permitted by this Agreement (i.e., personal, non-commercial use). You are prohibited from engaging in any behavior that infringes on the above intellectual property rights, including but not limited to:
* Recording, screenshotting, editing, clipping, or extracting audio/video from short dramas for separate distribution;
* Copying or reposting text descriptions, posters, or images from the platform to other platforms (such as social media or personal websites), or using them for commercial promotion;
* Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to extract source code, algorithms, or technical details from the ShortBox installation package;
* Removing, altering, or interfering with video watermarks, copyright notices, or DRM identifiers;
* Imitating ShortBox’s UI design, logo style, trademarks, or creating confusingly similar apps or content;
* Using platform trademarks or identifiers for commercial activities without authorization (e.g., promoting products under the name “ShortBox Partner”);
* Stealing, leaking, or illegally using the platform’s trade secrets (such as extracting the content database through crawling, acquiring unpublished operational strategies).
5.3 If we discover any violation of the law or this Agreement, we may take actions at any time, including but not limited to restricting access, deleting data, blocking services, and pursuing legal liabilities.
6.1 We strive to ensure the stable operation of ShortBox but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or absolutely secure service. We also do not guarantee that all content will meet your expectations or be compatible with all devices.
6.2 We are not liable for service interruptions or inaccessibility caused by technical issues, server maintenance, network problems, legal or regulatory requirements, or other factors beyond our reasonable control. We will attempt to resolve such issues promptly but assume no direct or indirect liability.
6.3 You are responsible for ensuring the security of your device and network environment while using ShortBox. We are not responsible for any losses caused by device failure, cyberattacks, or related incidents.
7.1 ShortBox collects and processes the necessary personal or non-personal data required to provide services, such as third-party account information, device model, system version, playback logs, crash logs, and IP address (used for regional restrictions).
7.2 For data collected by third-party advertising providers, we will ensure they comply with relevant privacy laws, but we do not assume direct responsibility for their practices. Please carefully review the ShortBox Privacy Policy and the respective third-party privacy policies for details.
7.3 You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may perform these actions in the in-app Settings.
7.4 If required by law or upon legitimate request from government authorities, we may provide necessary information accordingly.

8.1 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for any user or all users at any time for legitimate reasons, including but not limited to security risks, legal compliance, technical maintenance, or violations of this Agreement.
8.2 Termination or suspension does not eliminate any existing liabilities (including infringement liability or compensation obligations).
8.3 You may delete your account and stop using the service at any time. Upon account deletion, your personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
9.1 This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the user resides (excluding its conflict-of-laws rules). If mandatory local laws apply, such provisions shall prevail.
9.2 Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the competent court located in the jurisdiction of the ShortBox operating entity.
10.1 This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and ShortBox. If any clause is deemed invalid or unenforceable by a court or authority, the remaining clauses shall remain effective.
10.2 Any notices between you and ShortBox may be delivered via email or through contact methods designated within the application.
